Erwin Winkler is a Postdoctoral Researcher at FAU. He is also affiliated with CESifo, IZA@LISER, and LASER, and he is a holder of an Add-on Fellowship by the Joachim Herz Foundation. He conducted research visits at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), and Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona).
Research interests: Labor economics, technological change and digitization, health & family economics.
In ongoing projects, he studies the determinants and consequences of working conditions, the labor market effects of new technologies, the impact of labor market policies, and the determinants of economic inequality. His work combines econometric methods, experimental methods, and machine learning to address policy-relevant questions.
